Rules
and Regulations:
In addition to the rules and regulations spelled out on the main sport page, the following also apply to soccer:
The organizing committee will strictly enforce FIFA rules and expects full cooperation from everybody involved. Fair play and sportsmanship is highly encouraged.
We will be placing an extra emphasis on security for the betterment of all participants.
Maximum number of players allowed per team: 20.
Each player may only play from one team during the tournament.
Each team member needs to fill the Liability waiver form by 8am on July 2nd, 2010. This is to ensure that all participants agree to not hold organizers liable should any injury or harm result from participating in the tournament.
It will be the responsibility of the captains to make sure all team members sign this form and bring the fully filled and signed original form to the venue when they report for the first scheduled game. All team members must be present and have proper ID with them at the time. Players will not be allowed to compete without signing these forms.
All team captains and team members are required to be present at the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of games.
It will be the responsibility of team captains to ensure that all players comply with all rules and regulations including signing the waiver form in time.
Any improper action leading to confrontation could result in player(s) or team being ejected or disqualified from the tournament.
No smoking and alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the game field and its premises.

Game Time/Duration:
13. First
round: Two 20-40 minute halves with 5-10 minute half time.
14. To
those who qualify to the semifinals and finals: Two 40-45 minute halves, 10
minute half time.
15. It
is recommended that each team be present at the tournament field at least 30
minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
16. Due
to limited time, any team not ready to play within 5 minutes of the scheduled
start time will forfeit the game.
Player Equipment and
Uniforms:
17. All
players must have the assigned matching colors for uniform shirts and shorts
(except goalkeepers). Goalkeepers
must wear shirts easily distinguishable from the rest of the team.
18. All
players must wear shin guards.
19. Players
who are severely injured will not be allowed to participate.
20. No
metal items including rings, watches, necklace, etc can be worn during the
games.
21. No metal cleats allowed.
22. Players
are recommended to bring more than one jersey (with different color).
23. Officials
may ask a team to change jerseys if s/he determines the jersey colors of the two
teams to be similar. The team who registered later would be required to change
jerseys.
24. Substitutions:
Overtime:
25. There
may be no overtime play in the first round.
26. In
the knock out rounds, if a match ends in a tie after regulation, a maximum of
two 5-minute overtime periods will be played.
27. There
will be a 5 minutes rest period between overtime periods.
28. If
it still remains tied, there will be 5 penalties.
29. If
it still remains tied, there will be 1 penalty each until the game gets decided.
Sportsmanship Conduct:
30.
Any improper action that could lead to
confrontation will result in player/s or team/s disqualification.
Player/s, team/s could get ejected from the tournament.
31. We
will be enforcing security measure more tightly this year.
In extreme cases, the ANA Sports Council could also prohibit
players/teams from participating in future tournaments.
32. All
players, team manager/coach, and spectators are expected to display
sportsmanship qualities at all times.
33. Captain
and Coordinator/Manager/Coach will be held responsible for the conduct of all
players within their team.
34. Anyone
not able to comply with these rules will be asked to remove themselves from the
field.
35. Players
receiving a red card or two yellow cards within a match will be ejected from the
game. Once a player is ejected from
a game, he will not be allowed to play in the next game.
36. Yellow
cards will accumulate from game to game, and a player who has accumulated 2
yellow cards will not be allowed to play in the next game.
Awards:
37. There
will be an award for the champion and runner-up.
38. A most valuable player (MVP) award may also be awarded.
